Missing Middle Housing comprises a range of multi-unit or clustered housing types that are the size of single-family homes and meet the growing demand for walkable living. Including types such as duplexes, fourplexes, and bungalow courts, these buildings were thoughtfully integrated into pre-1940s neighborhoods but have been ‘missing’ from planners’ and builders’ toolkits over the last half-century.
